A fun little edit to a classic thanksgiving recipe. I sometimes go through phases with foods where I get hooked and I can’t get enough. I crave those things and only those things in any of their forms. That was kind of my inspiration behind this recipe. I know that people love thanksgiving dinner so I wanted to create something new and fresh but also stay true to the traditional colors and flavors of the holiday.

Simplicity is key to a patient and peaceful life. When we stop overthinking things so much and stop our heads from getting in our way, we allow each moment to flow into the next . Life takes us exactly where we are supposed to be. Our thoughts become reality so when we think something, that thought determines the energy we are sending out into the world.

Even in minor situations when what you’re thinking about is as small as what to make for dinner, the way in which your brain thinks and the language used between you and your brain creates an energy current that emanates out into the universe. It’s the same current in which you receive life right back. Humans do have superpowers and our minds are one of them.

 

This thanksgiving is about letting go of the stuff we’ve been holding on to for so long that’s preventing us from moving forward. Changing our fears into motivations, our inner dialogue into nurturing self love, our dreams into realities and our relationships into meaningful connections. Let’s live moment to moment and see where life takes us. Living a life of laughter, love, and lots of delicious food.

Butterhead Lettuce

Cooked Beets

Onion

Sliced Baby Bella Mushrooms

Sweet Potato / Pre Cut Sweet Potato Fries

Tahini

Garlic Powder

Olive Oil

Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400*
  2. While oven is heating, sauté mushrooms on stovetop in coconut oil or ghee. Set aside once browned and cooked
  3. When oven is at 400*, place sweet potatoes in for 35-45 mins
  4. On stoveop, heat up small amount of coconut oil or ghee and place entire pound of turkey in pan. As the turkey meat cooks, use a wooden spatula to break up meat into small pieces. Size is based on preference
  5. Finely chop beets and small onion for taco topping.
  6. Once turkey is done, lay out butterhead lettuce leaves flat and fill the center with ingredients.
Tahini Gravy
  1. In a glass container or jar, add all ingredients and shake up until it is well mixed. Add extra salt/garlic powder to taste.
